Eureka Springs Outdoor Weddings Ceremony
GLENWOOD HOLLOW ARBOR Opens AT THE 1886 CRESCENT HOTEL & SPA
(EUREKA SPRINGS, ARKANSAS) — There is a magical connection of nature and a wedding in the woods. The new Glenwood Hollow is a perfect way for a couple to start the most important union in their life. This sentiment is what drove the 1886 Crescent Hotel & Spa to break from the norm and explore options on its 12 acres of Ozark Mountain forest to host unique wedding ceremonies and celebrations. This perfect site was carved out of a limestone hillside. At the base of that hillside, along Crescent Trail, is the hidden space with a magnificent 200-foot canopy of trees to serve as the wedding backdrop.
Jack Moyer, hotel general manager, explained the genesis of this new wedding venue, “Sixteen months from concept to welcoming our first bride saw a lot of hard work, dedication, and creative effort to transform just a ceremony into a breathtaking wedding in the woods.”
This new Northwest Arkansas Wedding Venue uses about one acre of the hotel’s property. A naturally wooded limestone bluff is its backdrop. Cascading down the hillside is an artistically designed waterfall that descends calmly into a small pond right behind the wedding stage. The semicircle terrace is an arrangement of indigenous flagstone. At its center is the Glenwood Hollow Arbor, handcrafted of bent cedar. A designated niche has been carved out of the hillside to the left of the stage to accommodate a musician when needed. Guests sit on sculpted split-log benches and chair seating, as needed, to accommodate up to 100. Access to the rustic ceremony site are natural trails and an unassuming driveway for less ambulatory wedding guests.
The ceremony site may be reserved independently or as a perfect complement to the hotel’s reception facilities through the expert staff of the 1886 Crescent Hotel & Spa. Details may be found at crescent-hotel.com/weddings/ . or by phoning 800-903-4940
