The venues of the Basin Park Hotel serve as gathering places, and historical preservation displays; the Atrium Room in particular. It is located on the first floor of the 1905 Basin Park Hotel in downtown Eureka Springs. The site is many times used for wedding ceremonies as pictured here, but it is also a lovely room for a small reception of 40 or fewer, or a small meeting.
The Skylight Ceiling remains a wonderful feature and provides one of the most interesting views in town, as you can see up the interior sides of the hotel, as well as the mountain side the building is built up against. This feature especially makes the room a desired location for a wedding ceremony. The Skylight Package is perhaps the best way to take advantage of the room for a wedding, and includes the Ozark Room for the reception.
The history of the Atrium Room is also interesting, and makes us love the room even more.
In 1995, the Atrium Room was constructed out of the rooftop and existing walls of the hotel. Then in 2005, the general manager had the display cases constructed out of existing windows for the hotel’s centennial celebration to display a variety of history that had touched the hotel during its 100 years. Seven history display cases line the walls of the room and contain memorabilia from various periods of the hotel’s existence. The following are photos of these display cases and the various artifacts they contain.
Although we love the history on display, you are welcome to cover the cases for your wedding celebration if you wish. Small tension rods fit perfectly within the frames, and any sort of curtained fabric will hang beautifully.
